I wrote this back in July. This one was just thrown together and made me laugh as I was writing. Probably because I hadn’t known her that long and it was new. Who would have thought an impromptu coffee delivery and making out in her work parking lot would be a great memory.
Coffee in hand, making her day
Our hands touched, sparks took gentle sway
Only a hello and a smile that was mine
As our eyes met, memory frozen in time
The world around us receded from view,
Leaving only you and me anew,
No words were needed; hearts spoke loud and clear,
In that instant, I knew it was near
I leaned forward, my pulse racing high,
Your lips invited, a sweet subtle surprise,
Soft as petals, our mouths connected with ease,
First kiss over coffee, like a symphony released.
Time melted away, leaving just this space,
Where our first kiss sealed an unforgettable place,
Coffee still cold, yet getting watered down and old
For in each other's arms, we found our gold.
That afternoon sun, it shone so bold,
Witness to our hearts forever to mold,
And when apart, memories linger near,
Of our first kiss over coffee, her smile I hold dear
